I’ve got butterflies.. I am humbled by the global response of the many different suicide prevention organizations who have been contributing their support and/or information to my art exhibition, GROUP: Faces After Suicide, that opens at the beginning of August during KC Crossroads Arts District First Friday’s event through the end of September this year at the Leedy-Voulkos Art Center. The viewers that attend will be able to walk away with resources and see that suicide is not an isolated issue…that it doesn’t discriminate. Some organizations are even having representatives at the exhibit to talk with the guests! If you personally have been affected by a suicide and would like to have your voice heard at the exhibit please visit my website at https://abovetherug.com/letter-submissions/. I just wanted to thank the organizations/foundations/coalitions/facilities that have given their support so far: The Gary Sinise Foundation, Wounded Warrior Project, Mission 22, SASS-MoKan – Suicide Awareness Survivor Support, SPEAK UP, Suck It Suicide, The Trevor Project, American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (Kansas City Chapter), Mindfull Aus, Alliance of Hope for Suicide Loss Survivors, Suicide Awareness / Prevention, Samaritans of Singapore, Mind for better mental health, Encourage Hope and Help, Headquarters, Inc., Hope for the DayButterflies
